(Cedar Sing Log Details), With pure cedar on the outside of the house and on the inside as well; you are bathed in all the natural luxurious characteristics of western red cedar heart wood. The house was completed in 2006, yet both the property and the house have continued to evolve. Just completed remodeling & complete paint & stain, all maintenance completed, spring cleaned and polished from top to bottom. "Like New" Ready for you to add your special touchs to make it your own.

Video Indoors:(sound off is best)
To light up the night there are flood lights on all 4 sides of the house. One set of motion detection flood lights are centered over the garage door and another set of motion detection flood lights are positioned to illuminate the front porch and the front entrance deck. The other 2 sets of flood lights are on the west end and centered over the back french doors to flood the back deck with light - both are switch activated.
For outdoor, night time ambiance there are frontier lodge style sconce lights in front of the garage and both sides of the french doors; with a single sconce by the side door; and a matching candelabra in the front porch. This group of lights are meant to be easy on the eyes as they spread a soft, subtle welcoming light all around. It feels like paradise at night with the soft sconce lighting on the house with tiki torches and solar yard lights around the outdoor spaces. Tranquil and private - day or night.
*FYI: The Spiderhollow log header can easily be removed, or replaced.
Owners Preface: Our goal was to build a magnificent home that was not ostentatious or flamboyant. Being activists and environmentalists we wanted this building to be of the highest quality yet as eco-friendly as possible, with minimal impact on the property, and have a small carbon footprint yet feel expansive & spacious. Elements like huge compartmentalized rooms or vaulted ceilings are not only pretentious, they are not efficient or eco-friendly or easy to maintain. Designing, planning, and collecting just the right building materials took 6 years before we ever broke ground. We were the primary builders, yet we were increadibly fortunate to garner plenty of help from relations, friends and neighbors in the construction trade. The house took 2 ½ years and was completed in August of 2006. The owner grew up in the construction field and got into computers in the early 90's. The builder became an original pioneer in the development of the World Wide Web. Back in the day, these web developers were called Spiders - creating webs, links, & web applications that has evolved into the sophisticated World Wide Web that we have today. He was often called "Spider" - hence, the house took on the name: "Spiderhollow". Trees were felled and rough sawn on site to be used in the building process. Much of the lumber & posts and beams and wood accents were cured on site prior to building.
