1-The Big Plan
Home 1st Blue Prints Cedar Sing Logs

Aerial shot of our shy acre in the year 1969 in the red box.

IN the center of that square you can just spot the top of the trailer hidden amongst the trees.

As the years ticked by, by, and bye, our building plans languished, continually postponed and clouded with challenges ever looming in the distance.    We really did not have the means to do what we wanted to do, but we were determined and eventually we found a way.

The best spot to build is where the trailer is.

Within 15 minutes of seeing this property I declared "We could live here for a couple years and Build a new house".  (Little did I know what had just happened, the hook was set, the pipe dream was born)

Building on an open lot, or piece of ground is easy compared to people living in and on the same spot you want to build on.  We faced lots of very difficult building decisions because of that, and they cost us nearly 2 years of wrangling about "just how could we do it".  Anyone in a similar situation will appreciate our story of "How can we Build AND Live here".
